Foundation trustees plan later this spring to launch a community-wide campaign to build a fund which will provide additional, greater value annual scholarships at Northshore high schools.
Called, the Community Scholarship Initiative, the Foundation hopes to raise $1 million dollars over the next three years, providing a possible 10 new scholarships of from $2,500 to $5,000 each which would be funded in perpetuity.
In three years, the Northshore School District will open it’s fifth high school – North Creek High School. Members of North Creek’s first graduating class of 2019 would be eligible to receive one of the new, “Northshore Community Scholarships” provided through the Initiative.
