1. Donate to the Community Scholarship Program

Please consider financial support for the work of the Scholarship Foundation.

  1. Become a Donor Partner

Sponsor and award your own Scholarship. Many Northshore families, individuals, organizations, and business have joined the Foundation’s to help increase the number and value of scholarships offered through the Foundation.

Donor Partners determine their Scholarship name, value and purpose; criteria and eligibility for their scholarship. The Partner receives student onLine applications, determine finalists to interview and makes the final decision of the winner.

The Foundation handles the process throughout. The Foundation has set a scholarship minimum of $3,500 – covering roughly one quarter of the student’s tuition at a state school.Contact scholars@sf-ns.org to start the process. Deadline for new 2023 grants is October 31.

  1. Donate to help provide the next $5,000 Northshore Community Scholarship.

Non-targeted donations are assigned to that Scholarship Account. When the account reaches $5,000, the Foundation can advertise a third, fourth or fifth Community Scholarship. All Northshore graduating seniors are eligible. Any amount will help.

Donations are tax deductible.

Send checks to SFn at P.O. Box 1773, Woodinville, WA 98072 or Donate via the Foundation’s Pay Pal account. (L00k for Donate Button on Home Page) Designate your donation as “Community” on the check’s memo line or in the Pay Pal memo box.

2. Have the Foundation administer your existing or proposed scholarship
The Foundation stands ready to assist individuals, families and organizations who would like to offer scholarships but are stymied by the complexity of the process.

Our staff will be happy to meet with anyone who would like to offer a scholarship through the Foundation. We help with establishing the purpose, criteria and eligibility – all the decision of the sponsor. The Foundation will post the scholarship opportunity in late fall along with all other scholarships available in the following winter-spring. The staff will guide the sponsor through the selection process and handle the distribution of funds “to the college, university, trade or technical school.”

The sponsor’s responsibility is to fund an amount of $3,500 as a minimum for a scholarship administered by the Foundation but where the funding is entirely by the sponsor. The Foundation charges an administrative fee of $250 per scholarship.

There is no limit to the number of scholarships that may be offered in this manner.

Examples of “administered” scholarships are the Molbak “Service Above Self” scholarship and the Rodgers Family scholarship.

Interested parties should contact the Foundation through scholars@sf-ns.org or by phone at (206) 890-8346.
