For the past thirty years, the trustees and sponsoring service clubs have been intent upon establishing the acceptability and credibility of the Scholarship Foundation of Northshore.
Now is the time to concentrate on “visibility”!
The seed for the Foundation was planted in 1984 with an accumulation of $5,661 from which four memorial scholarships were being funded.
Today the Foundation manages $1.2 million in donations received over the years from individuals, families, organizations and businesses. The Foundation and the Rotary clubs of Northshore and Woodinville and the Kiwanis Club of Northshore have combined to award 1,764 scholarships with a value of $2.6 million.
Unfortunately, these achievements have gone virtually unnoticed in the community. Unintentionally, the Foundation has become one of the better kept secrets in the Northshore community.
