Tara Marinig, an accounting major in the School of Business at UW Bothell, is the recipient of the $2,500 Marv Workman Memorial Scholarship for 2016-17. A “first generation” student whose studies also include concentration in finance, Tara has worked three jobs to maintain financial independence. At age 27 she entered Bellevue College to earn an associates degree in business, then was accepted into the UW Bothell School of Business. The scholarship is awarded in memory of Marv Workman, an original trustee of the Foundation and a past president and charter member of Woodinville Rotary Club, one of the three service clubs responsible for the formation of the Scholarship Foundation.
