3 Gaps To Overcome.
Foundation President Eric Greenwood identified three “gaps” to overcome as the Foundation works for the next $3 million dollars in scholarships for our community’s future graduates.
The “gaps” were outlined during our April 19 celebration of reaching a milestone this spring – awarding the Foundation’s $3 millionth scholarship dollar. The specific scholarship to represent that milestone will be revealed at the Foundation’s 34th annual Scholarship Recognition Breakfast May 22 at the Senior Center in Bothell.
See the entire April issue of the UpNext Newsletter and learn more about the 38 coordinators and 93 “reviewers” to evaluate nearly 500 applications and then determine this year’s winners of 57 new scholarships for Northshore’s graduating high school seniors. This was the first year applications were accepted and processed electronically.
The Foundation is managed by a Board of Trustees whose members represent the Northshore communities of Bothell, Kenmore, North Creek and Woodinville. You can also learn more about one of the trustee’s, Foundation Secretary Melissa Arias, chair of the Foundation’s Outreach Committee. Melissa is Associate Vice Chancellor at University of Washington Bothell. There are two positions to be filled so if you want to be considered please reach out to the Foundation.
