Criteria
- Available to graduates of all six high schools in the Northshore School District.
- Financial need is a consideration.
- Intends to enroll in a two-year or four-year course of study in a vocational or technical program or a certified trade school. The applicant’s goal is to complete certification in his or her field.
- Has participated in extracurricular activities in high school and programs outside the school that involve service to others.
- Has sought and/or gained employment to set aside money to help pay for college.

About the Sponsor
This vocational scholarship was established by principals of Kenmore Air, founded in 1946 by Bob Munro, who is the father of Leslie Munro Banks and of Gregg Munro and the grandfather of general manager Todd Banks. Kenmore Air is the largest seaplane base operating in the United States. The firm covers the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia and Alaska.
As a past president, Bob Munro was one of eight members of the Northshore Rotary Club who founded the Scholarship Foundation of Northshore in 1984. He also served as the club president.,
Leslie is a past trustee of the Foundation and in 2023 received the first Haynes Service to Community Award from the Foundation.
Kenmore Air celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021 at the home port at the north end of Lake Washington. The Munro and Banks families have operated the business over these years. One picture shows the Banks family along side a Beaver. The other features Bob and Ruth Munro's three children, Leslie, Gregg and Margie at the ceremony.
