To recognize and support a Northshore graduate who plans to enter the University of Washington Bothell or University of Washington Seattle. And to acknowledge the factor of Molbak’s as a community asset and supporter of education at all levels.
Criteria
- All fields of study are acceptable.
- Must be accepted for enrollment at UW Bothell or UW Seattle and planning to attend the school.
- Candidates must provide evidence of service to others, community and/or school.
- Consideration given candidates who are first in family to attend college.
- Financial need is a factor, but not primary to selection.
- Students at Northshore Networks are also eligible.
- Letters of recommendation are accepted, but not required.
Requirements
- Selection team will be looking for goal-oriented candidates displaying drive and ambition with a feeling for community. “What does service to community mean to you?”',
- Will be interviewed by an interview team consisting of a member of the Molbak family and a representative of the Scholarship Foundation.

About the Sponsor
The scholarship is sponsored by the family of Egon Molbak, who with his wife Laina founded the Molbak's Garden and Home store in Woodinville in 1956. The scholarship was established to recognize the many civic contributions of Egon Molbak. Egon is a charter member of the Northshore Rotary Club and served a term as its president. He was one of eight founders of the Scholarship Foundation of Northshore in 1984. The firm operated 68 years in the heart of Woodinville.
