About the Sponsor
THE MEMORIAL: Affectionately referred to as “Dr. Babs” by her many students at Woodinville High School, Dr. Nancy Babienko brought passion and a dedication to thought, literature and writing to her classroom. Her students frequently cite her detailed comments, critiques and insights with inspiring a similar passion for writing and philosophy in them. Dr. Babienko lost her battle with cancer in the summer of 2017. Many friends remembered her with memorial donations to the Foundation which have made this scholarship possible.
